Eligibility · Candidates must have a bachelor's degree of a minimum 3 years duration in Biological Sciences
Criteria (Biomedical Science/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Botany
/Zoology/Genetics/ Home Science/ Chemistry/ Computer Science) or passed bachelor degree in BE/B.
Tech, majoring in computer science /Biotechnology /Medical /Dental/ B.Pharm /Pharmacology/Animal
Sciences and any other bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or computer science from a reputed and
recognized university/Board recognized as equivalent by SDM University, with not less than 55% marks
in aggregate.
· Admission/selection of eligible candidates for M.Sc. (Human Genetics) program shall be based on the
eligibility, marks secured in the qualifying Test and personal interview.

Description & · M.Sc. program is of 2 academic years with semester pattern having a total of 4 Semesters.

System (CBCS) pattern. The syllabus has been prepared taking in to consideration of the UGC
Prospects
guidelines, syllabus of SLET / NET examination and other universities as well as the speci fic inputs of
the Expert Committee Members.
