General Information on Admissions

The General Public is hereby informed that all admissions to UG, PG, Certificate and Ph.D. programs
are on the basis of merit obtained through the qualifying examination, University Entrance Test or
National / State Level Entrance Examinations specified by the respective regulatory bodies.

Foreign / Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category seats at SDM University are not equivalent to private
quota / reserved seats. NRI category seats are only available for students with NRI status or those
sponsored by relatives with NRI status.

SDM University or any of its constituent institutions has no branch offices or agents in the country or
abroad. In the event that any aspirants or members of the general public approach any fraudulent
agents in order to obtain admission to any of the programmes offered by Shri Dharmasthala
Manjunatheshwara University or its constituent institutions, the authorities of Shri Dharmasthala

Manjunatheshwara University or its constituent institutions are not responsible.

If you are approached individually or through misleading / false claims / advertising, please report

to initiate action on the same. We also request you to volunteer in helping us identify such fake

• Check for Eligibility & Admission process before applying to the various Programs of SDM University.
• All admissions (both Government and Private Seats) to UG & PG programs of Medical & Dental
streams are through NEET Examination, counselling & seat allotment by Karnataka Examinations
Authority (KEA).
• Government seat admissions to UG & PG programs of Physiotherapy & Nursing streams are through
Entrance Examinations & seat allotment by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
• Private seat admissions to UG & PG programs of Physiotherapy & Nursing streams are done through
University Entrance Test & seat allotment by the SDM University.

HOW TO REACH
SDM University is located in a lush green land, 7 kilometres away from Dharwad city on the Pune-
Bangalore (in between Dharwad-Hubli) National Highway. Dharwad is connected by Surface
transport, Railways, Airways. Hubli is directly connected to Mumbai and Bangalore.

By Road By Train
Dharwad Central Bus Station: 9 Kms Dharwad Railway station: 9 Kms
Hubli Central Bus Station: 14 Kms Hubli Central Railway station: 16 Kms
Bangalore: 420 Kms, Mumbai: 620 Kms The Railway connects the major cities of
Mangalore: 460 Kms, Goa: 120 Kms both North India and South India.
By Air
Hubli Airport: 18 Kms
The hopping flight facilities are available to
Delhi, Jaipur, Cochin, Tirupati, Goa,
Mangalore and many other major towns.
