MEDICAL PROGRAMS

      Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) - 2.1

      Intake - 150 seats (60 Govt., 60 Private, 23 NRI & 7 Others)
      Duration - 5 ½ years including 1 year Compulsory
                        Rotating Internship.

      Eligibility Criteria :-

       Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by
       boards / councils / Intermediate education established
       by  State  Governments  /  Central  Government  or  any
       recognised  two-year  Pre-University,  with  Physics,
       Chemistry, Biology and English, with a minimum 50 %
       marks scored together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

       Admission Process-

       •  Qualify in UG NEET
       •  Registration  and  option  entry  by  candidates  on
          https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/
       •  Admission will be conducted on the basis of marks in
          UG NEET exam, state merit rank, number of seats and
          reservation criteria.
       •  KEA will publish the merit list for eligible candidates.
       •  Online  counselling  &  seat  allotment  by  Karnataka
          Examinations Authority (KEA)
       •  Reporting to the institute for admission formalities

       Description & Career Prospects
       •  MBBS is an Under Graduate (UG) professional course
          designed to train students in all fields of medicine and
          surgery  such  that  students  become  competent,
          compassionate  and  caring  physicians  through
          excellence  in  teaching,  patient  care  and  medical
          research.
      •     The  Program  focuses  on  Pre-clinical  (Anatomy,
          Physiology  and  Biochemistry),  Para-clinical
          (Pharmacology,  Pathology,  Microbiology,  Forensic
          Medicine,  Community  Medicine)  and  Clinical  (Oto-
          rhino-laryngology,  Ophthalmology,  Dermatology,
          Paediatrics,  General  Medicine,  General  Surgery,
          Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Anesthesiology),
          Psychiatry,  Tuberculosis  &  Respiratory  Medicine,
          Orthopedics subjects.
      •   After completing this course, students get to work in the
          capacities of a General Physician, Medical Officer and
          also pursue postgraduate studies and clinical research
