Eligibility • Pass in MS Gen Surgery degree from an Institution / University recognized by National Medical Commission
Criteria (NMC), DNB Gen Surgery recognized by National Board of Examination (NBE).
• Candidates holding foreign degree must be registered practitioners in the Country from where they have
obtained their degree and MUST obtain a temporary registration certificate from National Medical
Commission (NMC)

Description & • A three-year Senior Resident course imparts training to the candidate to acquire skills in teaching medical
Career students and focus on quality patient care, research, innovation, education and delivery of care. Their
Prospects pedagogical skills will be honed and they will be moulded into good assessors.
• M.Ch Paediatric Surgery course deals with the surgical management of Paediatric Surgical diseases, which
involves congenital a nomalies, development a nomalies and other acquired surgical conditions. The
candidate will be appointed as senior resident and would be trained in various sub specialities such as
Paediatric Urology, Paediatric Oncology, Paediatric Thoracic Surgery, Neonatal Surgery, Paediatric Gastro-
intestinal Surgery, Paediatric Endoscopy , Paediatric Minimally i nvasive surgery etc. The Candidate will be
trained in o utpatient d epartment management, antenatal consultations , various inter departme nt
academic discussion, various research & academic activities. At the end of the course the candidate will be
able to manage the paediatric surgical cases independently & efficiently.
• The Qualified Paediatric surgeon can go for further subspecialisations in above mentioned fields as well as
paediatric transplantology and fetal surgical interventions . The Candidates after passing the course also
will be eligible to be appointed as a faculty in Medical colleges.
