Activities / Services
• Weekly one-day visits to the Rural Health Training
Centre in Yadwad, to provide physiotherapy services.
• Physiotherapy services are provided on a weekly
basis for three days at the Ushas Centre for
Exceptional Children and the Children Home for
Mentally Retired Girls (CHMRG) in Hubli.
• As part of the SDM Doctor Radio Program, our staff
has conducted live phone-in programmes on a
variety of topics.
• Free physiotherapy camps are held on a regular basis
throughout Hubli – Dharwad and rural areas.
• The college places a high value on CBR, which is a
specialised field for reaching out to rural
communities. The program's goal is to provide out-
reach physiotherapy services to areas within a 50-
kilometer radius where they are not currently
available.
• Skill enhancement programs from our faculties,
Workshops and Continuous Medical Education
programmes are held on a regular basis in the
college to keep students up to date on professional
advancements and to teach them the most up-to-
date treatment techniques. The college organises
workshops and CME programmes on a regular basis
with the participation of highly experienced
professionals with a good reputation to conduct
hands-on workshops for the college's students.
These not only assist students in learning new and
advanced skills, but also instil a desire to acquire
higher knowledge with greater depth of
understanding. Clinical lectures on interesting clinical
topics are given every Saturday in the DRH
Auditorium at SDM Hospital by faculty from the
college's various departments.
