Introduction:
The SDM institute of Nursing Sciences was established in the year 2006 under the auspices of
Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society with the support and blessings of
Rev. President Poojya Shri D. Veerendra Heggade. It is one of the leading Nursing Institutes in
Karnataka. The Institute of Nursing Sciences has gone through a huge transformation since its
establishment and has become the most culturally diverse Institute in Northern Karnataka.
Today, it is a constituent unit of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University and
subscribes to tripartite mission including outreach that bridges the areas of teaching, services
and research. The institute provides leadership for education of nurses at the undergraduate
and masters level within an integrated dynamic & diverse healthcare system meeting strict
education standards set by apex bodies. As an ambitious institution, it is consistently on the
top with a reimagined undergraduate and post graduate curriculum with cutting edge facilities,
inspirational academics and vibrant campus life. It is a place where students of nursing can
attain widely recognised and respected qualification.

students. We achieve this goal by working in partnership with Medical College & Hospital
Nursing Services. We also provide professional development opportunities by effectively
