Eligibility • Pass in BDS degree from a university recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI)
Criteria • Internship completion and should have obtained permanent registration with the State Dental
Council.

Description & • Post-graduation programs in dentistry will train the graduate to play the role of a specialist and
Career consultant in the chosen branch. The post graduate will acquire specialised knowledge, technical
Prospects skills and attitudinal abilities to independently as well as collaboratively practice the specialization.
• As a specialist, one can provide consultations to general dental practitioners, as well as carry out
specialized procedures in a dental hospital. Candidate may also choose to pursue academic career
in any Dental institution as teaching faculty, specialist consultant or as researcher. Interested post-
graduates could also pursue further learning in their specialty in India or abroad as a Fellow (post
graduate fellowships) or as Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
