2.1 Under Graduate (UG) Admission
SDM University considers candidates with 10+2 in science stream obtained from recognized Central
(CBSE / ISC) or State Boards. Refer concerned program eligibility criteria.
Candidates with foreign qualifications must submit an equivalency certificate for their Class XII
(entry-level) qualification. For foreign nationals seeking admission to undergraduate programs, the
equivalency certificate must be obtained from the UGC.

This certificate is mandatory for foreign students seeking admission to undergraduate programs.
2.1.1 Indian Boards
The qualifying certificate must be issued by a Board that is established or recognized through any of
the following:
• An Act of the Central or State Government;
• A Gazette Notification issued by the Central or State Government; or
• Executive Orders issued by the Central or State Government.
2.1.2 International Boards
Eligibility shall be based on qualifications recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
and/or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, as equivalent to the Indian Pre-
University Course (PUC) / Class XII qualification for admission to Undergraduate (UG) programs and
to the corresponding Indian Bachelor's degree qualification for admission to Postgraduate (PG)
programs.
2.1.3 Post Graduate (PG) Admission
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to a Master's degree program upon successful completion
of a prescribed Undergraduate (UG) degree program of a minimum of three years' duration from a
recognized University and fulfilment of the eligibility requirements of the respective program.
Candidates holding foreign academic qualifications seeking admission to Postgraduate programs
must obtain and submit an Equivalency Certificate from the respective professional councils.
