The Bachelor of Science in Medical Records Technology (B.Sc MRT) is an undergraduate program designed to train students in the management and organization of medical records, health information systems, and related technologies.

The curriculum covers a range of subjects related to health information management, medical coding, medical terminology, health data analysis, and information technology. Common courses include health informatics, medical record keeping, legal aspects of health information, and electronic health records.

Students learn how to organize, manage, and secure medical records and health information. This includes understanding the principles of health information management, coding systems, and compliance with privacy regulations.

Students are trained in health data analysis, allowing them to extract meaningful insights from medical records for research, quality improvement, and healthcare planning.

Eligibility Criteria

For Regular

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Board, with minimum 45 % aggregate marks or equivalent in PCB.

For Lateral

• 2 years diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enrol, in the respective Allied Health Sciences mentioned course shall have passed plus 12 [10+2] with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as principal subjects.

OR

• 3 years diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enrol, in the respective Allied Health Sciences course mentioned. should have studied Physics, Biology and Chemistry as principal subjects during the tenure of the course.
