The key research involves exploration of our curiosity and desire to improved understanding. Our department focuses on research involving feasibility and outcomes of various approaches in a multitude of conditions in view of evidence-based practices and recent advances.

My quest as a paediatric physiotherapist has been to excel in research and make tangible contributions to the evidence base which ultimately serves the community.

The various areas of focus for research are fitness in children, oromotor function in neonate and children, hand function, sensory integrative disorder, stress among caregivers and parents, sleep development/dysfunction, musculoskeletal disorders, visual rehabilitation, PCOS and Feeding issues in children, along with development of new innovative assessment and treatment tools.

We hope to understand the mechanisms and develop novel approaches for various conditions by focusing on these crucial areas of research. We hope to pave way for improved preventive and rehabilitative therapies in the future by utilising the potential of physiotherapeutic approaches.
