Dr. K. Satyamoorthy holds the administrative and research position at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) University tasked to elevate national and international interdisciplinary research endeavours, inculcate translational research at the grassroot level and promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

Over the years, Dr. Satyamoorthy is credited with building research and innovation Institutions of repute and partake in number of research and academic excellence endeavours. His research team undertakes interrogation of genetic and epigenetic mechanisms for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of selected communicable and non-communicable disorders.

He and his team has been credited with over 340 publications, several patents, and applications; and he has been the recipient of several awards. Dr Satyamoorthy has successfully collaborated with national and international academia and industry researchers including from Australia, Japan, Germany, Netherland, Belgium, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, USA and Canada.
