His research experiences are in the areas of Environmental Biotechnology, especially bacterial ecology in soil, millet-based-foods and human gut microbiome.

He is trying to understand the quickly changing technological landscape in OMICS and acclimatize to make the best use of these changes to discourse important questions & answers in human health and disease.

He has been interacting with a few clinicians and is working to understand diseases like "Aplastic Anemia", rare diseases and "upper gut cancer".
