In the forefront are fields such as molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry among others, are the major subjects where in laboratory research has advanced significantly, thus requiring trained human resources. The goal is to provide cellular and molecular knowledge on how disease alters, fails, or destroys normal tissue processes and to advance novel therapeutic strategies.

Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate seeking for admission to M.Sc (By Research) Medical Science program must have passed a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in biological sciences (Any areas of Life Sciences - Biomedical Science / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology / Genetics / Home Science / Chemistry / Physics/ Mathematics/statistics/ computer science) or passed bachelor degree in BE/B-Tech majoring biotechnology / Medical / Dental / B. Pharm / Pharmacology/ Animal sciences and any other bachelor degree in life Science from reputed and recognized University/Board recognized as equivalent by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates who are currently in the qualify exam are also eligible to apply the M.Sc. (By Research). In such a case, they have to clear it before the finalization of the admission process.
