Job Description
Applications are invited for the posts in a research project to be filled purely on temporary/contractual basis for a period of 2 years at SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, a Constituent Unit of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) University, Dharwad, Karnataka.
Place of duty: Urban and Rural field practice areas under the Department of Community Medicine, SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad, Karnataka.
Title of the project: “Impact of cost-effective, nutritionally optimized supplement on body composition and functional measures: A multi-centric randomized trial among older adults at risk of malnutrition ( I-CARE Study)”.

Brief Description of the Project:
The study aims to explore the impact of a cost-effective, nutritionally optimized supplement on body-composition and functional measures among older adults at risk of malnutrition or malnourished.
The project technical support staff II should support by drawing blood samples at field level.
Providing nutritional assessment, education and management along with other team members. He/she should aid to get the physiological and biochemical assessment planned in the study and maintain all records of the participants. He/she should facilitate nutritional supplementation optimising compliance among participants.
The project technical support staff II must co-ordinate field and home visits during recruitment, intervention and follow-up.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Able to draw blood at the field level.
- Be responsible for co-ordinating the field visit and home visit in the community during recruitment of the participants as well as during intervention.
- Actively follow up recruited participants and help in data collection.
Salary : Rs 20,000+20% HRA (Rs.4,000) = Rs 24,000 /-p.m
