The use of logic gates in designing cancer immunotherapy

A guest lecture by Dr Mohammed Azharuddin Savanur (Postdoctoral Fellow, MIGAL-Galilee Research Institute, Israel) discussed the applications of using logic gates during the designing of cancer immunotherapeutic agents. He spoke about how genetic modifications can be used to engineer on-target, off-tumour toxicities. The talk was organized by the SDM University, Dharwad, on May 28, 2025 and attended by students of various programs, faculty members and staff. The increasing potential of using CAR-T cell therapy in the country was also highlighted.
