Celebrating the historical successive the 1000th Episode of SDM Doctor Arogya Samvada

SDM Medical College, SDM University Celebrated the historical successive the 1000th Episode of SDM Doctor Arogya Samvada on 17th June and 18th June 2025. This program is been running every Tuesday between 7.00 to 7.30 pm for the last 20 years at Akashvani Dharwad which is a live phone-in-program. SDM Arogya Samvada program was started on 4th April 2006 by Poojya Shri D. Veerendra Heggade in association with the Media Giant, Akashvani Dharwad. Since then, this program has never stopped even a single Tuesday, including during the Covid-19 pandemic. Every week Doctors from various specialties go to Akashvani and give the advices on various healthcare issues and satisfactorily answers the queries of general public which is most appreciated by one and all. SDM Arogya Samvada is first time in its kind which has been running for the long 20th year and celebrating 1000th episode in the history of All Stations of All India Radios in the country.

To mark the 1000th Episode, Akashvani Dharwad has arranged a special phone-in-program on 17th June 2025 from 12.05 pm to 1.10 pm. Poojya Shri Veerendra Heggade's message and blessings has been aired on the occasion. Dr Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Dr Vijay Kulkarni, Principal SDM Medical College, Dr Kiran Hegde, Medical Superintendent, Dr Pavan CG, Head of Surgical Oncology gave the specialty services of SDM Hospital. In the evening on 17th June2025, on the 1000th episode, the Professor of Ophthalmology, Dr Shankargouda Patil gave a Special talk on service of Advanced services of Ophthalmology.

SDM University has celebrated the 1000th Episode (20th year) of SDM Doctor Arogya Samvada on 18th June 2025 to mark the historical event. Dr Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor and Shri Sharanabasava Cholin, Head of Programs were the Chief Guests.

A video on the evolution of 1000th episode was played and Vice Chancellor felicitated the employees of All India Radio. Brief Cultural program was permed by the artists of Akashavani Dharwad

Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Shri Saketh Shetty, Shri Sharanabasava Cholin, Shri Jeevandhar Kumar and many Akashavani Staff and retired staff were witnessed the program.
