SDM University Celebrates Doctors Day on 1st July, 2025

SDM University celebrated National Doctors Day on 1st July 2025. Doctors Day is been celebrated in the Country to commemorate the Birthday of Dr. B. C. Roy, an eminent Doctor and Chief Minister of West Bengal considering his immense service to the mankind.

During the Doctors Day celebration, three eminent Doctors from SDM Medical College and Hospital were felicitated.

• Dr. Prakash G. Mahalingashetty, Senior Professor of Surgery
• Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar, Senior Orthopaedician and Registrar
• Dr. Sheela S Kudari, Senior Resident Doctor

Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor presided over the function and felicitated 3 doctors.

Dr. Vijay Kulkarni, Principal, SDM Medical College delivered the felicitation address. Smt.Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director, Shri V. Jeevandhar Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri Saketh Shetty, Director Administration, Shri VG Prabhu, Finance Officer were present during the function.

Dr Vidya Patil, Vice Principal, SDM Medical College, welcomed the Guests, Ms Ramyashree invoked the all-mighty blessings. Dr Suresh Badiger, Dr Sunil Mannual and Dr Kiran Aithal introduced the 3 awardees. Dr Priyanka Mothi compered the program. Dr Asha Neravi, Professor of OBG proposed the vote of thanks.
