SDM University Celebrates 79th Independence Day

The 79 th Independence Day was celebrated in SDM University at SDM Dental College Campus.

Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director, Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar, Registrar, Dr. Balaram D. Naik, Principal, SDM Dental College & Chief Guests of the Function hoisted the National Flag.

Dr. Balaram D. Naik delivered the Independence Day Message and told that:

• We should be ever grateful to our great revolutionary freedom fighters for the gift of Independence.
• One who forgets the Indian History, cannot make the victory in the life.
• We all must proud of the rich heritage and excellent solidarity of India and its freedom struggle.
• India has to develop the concept of research & innovation in the defence system of our country.
• We have to shed away the weakness like greed, anger, jealousy, hatred and envy for the growth of the country.
• We have to use our skills and knowledge to build the strong nation and largest economy.
• We professionals contribute the nation by giving compassionate services to our patients.
• Our youths must take the right path in the respective career and should become the nation building partner.

Shri. Saketh Shetty, Director Administration, Shri V Jeevandhar Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri V G Prabhu, Finance Officer, Heads of the Institutions, Vice Principals, Staff & Students were present during the function.

First year Topper and final year two toppers of six Constituent College students were felicitated in Independence Day Celebration. A brief cultural program was organized by the students.

Dr. Anand Tavargeri, Vice Principal welcomed the Guests. Dr. Vinayak & Dr. Shreya G, Postgraduates of Dental College compered the Program. Dr. Kiran Kumar, Student Welfare Officer proposed the Vote of Thanks.
