SDM University Celebrates Founder’s Day (Birthday of Poojya Shri D. Veerendra Heggade, Hon’ble Chancellor) every year on Nov., 25. This year Chancellor has celebrated his 77 th Birthday. On this occasion a joint program of Founder’s Day Celebration and 7 th Anniversary of the University was held at the University. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SDM University, the Chief Guest, Dr. Jayakara Shetty, Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University, Bangalore inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan Kumar, Executive Director, Shri Saketh Shetty, Director Administration, Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri V Jeevandhar Kumar, Dr. Chidendra M Shettar, Registrar, Shri V G Prabhu, Finance Officer were present during the function.
Poojya Shri D. Veerendra Heggade, Hon’ble Chancellor reciprocated his gratitude to all those wished him on his 77 th birthday and released the University Newsletter. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor gave brief outline about the Life and achievement of the Hon’ble Chancellor. Dr. Jayakara Shetty deliver the Founder’s Day Oration. Dr. Ajantha GS., Deputy Registrar presented the University Annual Report. Dr. Swamy Kalasurmat, Briefed about the University Newsletter. Dr. Jayakar Shetty was felicitated by the Dignitaries.
Dr. Vijay Kulkarni, Principal, SDM Medical College welcomed the Guests. Dr. Balram Naik, Principal SDM Dental College introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. Vidya S. Patil, Vice Principal, SDM Medical College compeered the program and Dr. Anil Tumkur, Principal, SDM Pharmacy College proposed the vote of thanks.
