4th Convocation Ceremony – 2026

The Fourth Convocation of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University was held on 6th June 2026 at D. Veerendra Heggade Kalakshethra. Dr. Arun C. Inamadar, Vice Chancellor of BLDE Deemed University, Vijayapur was the Chief Guest. The Chancellor of the University, Poojya Shri D. Veerendra Heggade blessed Virtually. Shri D. Surendra Kumar, Member, Board of Governors and Vice President, SDME Society was presided over the Convocation ceremony.

Vice Chancellor, Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Executive Director – Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri Jeevandhar Kumar, Deputy Medical Director – Shri Saketh Shetty, Registrar – Dr. Chidendra M Shettar, Finance Officer – Shri VG Prabhu and other Dignitaries, Principals of all Constituent Colleges were present during the function.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Arun C. Inamadar told in his Convocation address that:

• SDM Institutions  are the Temple of Education and provides Jnanajyothi to its students
• Students must absorb the teachers academic knowledge
• Students necessary to adopt AI & Machine Learning in Health Science Professions
• When we do our work sincerely milestones are achieved automatically
• Purposeful action completes the Dreams into Reality
• Students must have goals for the success instead of comparing with others
  
  

The Presiding Officer Shri D. Surendra Kumar, declared the convocation open and Conferred the Degrees and addressed the graduates that:

• SDM University & Institutions have made rapid progress and development within a short time
• He congratulated the administration and all faculty for their contribution for Excellent Education
• Word of Mouth of our student ambassadors are the best advertisement
• Doctors should acquire own ability and available all the time to serve the patients

397 Under Graduates, 180 Post Graduates and 7 Ph.D. Scholars received the Degrees from the Chief Guests.

The students received their degrees from the Shri. D. Surendra Kumar, Dr. Arun C. Inamadar and Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor. 10 meritorious students have received the University Gold Medals.

Dr. Balaram D. Naik, Principal, SDM Dental College, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar, Registrar presented the Annual Report. Dr. Anil Tumkur, Principal, SDM Pharmacy College, administered the Oath to the graduates. Dr. Sathyabodh Guttal, Controller of Examinations presented the fact and figures of the Graduates and presented the Gold Medallists. Vice President & Vice Chancellor felicitated the Chief Guest. Dr. Vijay Kulkarni, Principal, SDM Medical College, introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. Parinitha & Dr. Malashree compered the program. Dr. Prasanna Deshpande, Principal of Nursing College proposed the Vote of thanks.
