SDM University Celebrates 80th Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated in SDM University at SDM Physiotherapy-Nursing College Campus. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director, Dr. Rathnamala M. Desai, Former Principal & Senior Professor of OBG, SDM Medical College & Chief Guests of the Function hoisted the National Flag. 

Dr. Rathnamala M. Desai delivered the Independence Day Message and told that:

• We should be ever grateful to our great revolutionary freedom fighters for the gift of Independence 
• We all should see India becoming one of the most advanced Country.
• We all health professional must contribute to the nation in our own way
• Our youths must follow the right path where they can contribute in nation building
• To build nation we all should discharge our rights and duties in the right way
• We all must work together without dividing ourselves caste, creed, language and region

Shri V G Prabhu, Finance Officer, Heads of the Institutions, Vice Principals, Staff & Students were present during the function. 

First year Toppers and final year toppers of six Constituent College students were felicitated in Independence Day Celebration. Dr. Satish Patil, Professor of Physiology was felicitated for getting an International recognition from American Heart Association. A brief cultural program was organized by the students. 

Dr. T. G. Vasudevan, Principal, SDM RIBS welcomed the Guests. Dr. Sanjay Parmar, Principal, SDM Physiotherapy College introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. Nagesh Ajjawadimath, Professor, SDM Nursing College compered the Program. Dr. Reshmi, Faculty, Speech & Hearing Dept. proposed the Vote of Thanks.
